Toddler (1-2 years)

New Life recognizes that the first two years of life are an extraordinary time that sets the stage for all the years that follow.

Our Toddler program uses hands on exploration and social interaction in safe, engaging surroundings to help your toddler learn about his or her expanding world. Through the guidance of early childhood development professionals, toddlers enjoy learning experiences that promote their blossoming independence and social sills, and foster self confidence.

Toddlers love to explore independance. Toys that allow them independant manipulation are great for self esteem and confidence.

Toddlers are sensory motor beings. They explore the world with their senses and developing motor skills. Long before they understand concepts like "under" or "far" with their minds, their bodies are learning to navigate the up and down, over and under of the physical world. Their perceptions are sorting out sizes, colors, and shapes.

Interest in books and words is a great way to encourage a lifelong appreciation of reading. Children recognize pictures and their sequences prior to reading. This will help them to understand why things happen and the importance of routine and order.

Beyond just day care, our environment for toddlers is designed to adapt to each individual child's age and stage. Experienced staff promote emotional, physical, social and intellectual development in a fun and engaging environment.
